This was a fun shoot, I got to spend the morning with a gorgeous momma to 4 beautiful girls! yes all girls AND all born in the month of May! Meet Austie Eckley; she started a fun Instagram called Raising May Babes. a fun look into life with 4 babies and momma tips and tricks. I asked her a few questions about Raising May Babes and wanted to share along with some of my faves from our morning!
Tell me how Raising May Babes started?
Raising May Babes started when my sister Selena told me I should
start a personal IG page because my family is wild, crazy and fun…haha…
She follows a lot of mom Instagram accounts and said she always
thinks of me when she would see posts. I said “Ok, I can pray about it…haha”
All of our 4 girls were born in May and their 3 birthdays are exactly
11 days apart, so it was only natural to name it Raising May Babes;)
What are you hoping to share on Raising May Babes?
At first I just loved the idea of sharing our life story with other families
and hoped that we would be a source of encouragement.
I love posting about our nicu babies (@twentyeightandsix)
and on Mondays, I feature a mom and her story using the hashtag
#mombabesmonday The more I have invested into this Instagram
the more my heart is desiring it to reach not only moms but all women.
My goal is that RMB is real, raw, encouraging, challenging, and
most of all a blessing to someone!
As a mother of 4, we all know that can be challenging, how do you
balance it all as a wife, mother, and a business owner?
Honestly I have the most supportive husband on the planet. He loves
and adores me and the girls. He allows me to pursue my dreams and
works really hard so that we have everything we need and more. I also
have the help of an amazing friends who is there for me in so many
ways but most of all cares for my girls like they are her own.
However, I am training her to be on my team (Makeup) which
is posing a threat on my childcare…haha!!!
On a beautiful summer evening, what would we find you and
your sweet family doing together?
Oh my goodness, I love questions like this!! We would be in the yard
too late, which means we would then be eating dinner way too
late (on the porch of course) ending with dessert, putting our kids
to bed waaaaay too late. If I am being honest we tend to break the
bedtime schedule often because we truly love being with our sweet May Babes;)
