The Portland Art Museum is a gorgeous venue and I always love getting to come back to photograph some seriously amazing weddings here. I am so lucky to have been connected with Kumudu & Alex for their multicultural wedding, it was definitely one to remember and Katy with Bridal Bliss executed their dream wedding effortlessly. You may remember Kumudu and Alex from their fun engagement session in Malibu, Ca where their love story began HERE. You can also see their wedding featured on Inside Wedding Magazine HERE
Kumudu is Sri Lankan and they wanted to make sure they included some cultural aspects throughout their wedding which included a stunning custom sari and gold jewelry then also changed into a red lengha choli for their reception. They had the most amazing wedding party, all with special stories about how they met Kumudu or Alex. Kumudu’s dad gave such a sweet toast sharing funny and sweet anecdotes into her childhood sending happy tears throughout the room. The decor…. Oh my where to begin on the beautiful design! Floral archways, Whites/gold/blush centerpieces and tablescapes, three large floral chandeliers of ivory orchids and one large round floral chandelier , a five-tier glam cake, lush detail throughout ending with a fun sparkler exit to a white Bentley outside.
It was a work of art and couldn’t have been done without the most talented and amazing team! I am so excited to finally share a glimpse into their wedding!
