Kayva and Samir coming from southern California, wanted their destination engagement portraits photographed in the beautiful Portland, Oregon! They love the bridges and the evening lights so we decided to venture over to Cathedral Park and the St. John’s bridge to kick it off with then headed over to the downtown waterfront Riverplace Marina for those beautiful low evening lights. Kayva’s smile when Samir says something funny is infectious and then when you catch Samir looking at Kayva when she doesn’t suspect it, is so dreamy to photograph! Samir actually designed her ring and then had it made in LA, its truly a one of a kind! don’t you love that?
Tell Me about your proposal?
Samir’s proposal was very romantic! He took me on a helicopter flight over Big Bear Lake at sunset and proposed in flight!
Kayva; What do you love the most about Samir?
The two things I love most about Samir are his thoughtfulness and his sense of humor. He never fails to make me laugh, and he’s one of the most caring people I know.
Samir; What do you love most about Kayva?
Kayva puts other people first both in her personal life and at work. I also love that she’s playful and full of energy!
What are you both hoping for your engagement portraits?
I’m hoping for pictures that capture our love for each other and excitement for our wedding that we can look back on for the next many decades!
Well I think we achieved capturing them with lots of laughter and love for another, wouldn’t you say? Loved getting to know these two more and show them some of my favorite Portland spots! I truly cannot wait for this year’s nuptials!
