Evan + Sean LOVE Portland, They visit atleast once a year and both just fell in love with the architecture, the quirky atmosphere and Oregon’s beautiful landscapes. One of their favorite spots to stop is the International Rose Test Garden which is also where they decided they wanted to also have their wedding ceremony in the Shakespeare Garden within. I LOVE when our couples purposely plan their weddings in a meaningful location for them both, it makes it that much more special.
When we planned their engagement photos on one of their trips to Portland, we of course started it off in the place that got them hooked on PDX and ended it in a spot where Evan and Sean wanted to capture the quintessential Portland backdrop. Sean really loves Portland’s cityscape and what better way to enjoy it but to dance, laugh and give the biggest bear hugs!
When they arrived to our first location, I saw from afar this cute couple with a large bag of goodies AND a roller suitcase full of other goodies! I thought to myself “They are planning to move here it seems!” HA! But no, you see while Evan was getting her hair and makeup trial run done by the amazing Kirstie Wight, She sent Sean with a list of things to get for their engagement sesh since they were planning for a picnic in the park. Well Sean came back with so many things that it was really hard to choose from AND a $40 cheese knife, HA! Evan appreciated the effort and they laughed it off and we did in fact have a picnic at the park 🙂
When I asked them to describe something they like to enjoy on their days off together, I knew it was a match made in heaven when she said this:
“On our days off we ALWAYS end up with a trip to Costco.. it is really lame i know but we have always enjoyed our costco trips:) Nobody understands it.”
Oh girl… I get it, I totally do because thats what my husband and I do as well!
I am getting so excited for your wedding in a couple weeks, I know it will be amazing!
