Feeeeeeew I know I have been LAME on the blogging!! It has been one of those crazy summer seasons, and I think now its time to play catch up and let me start off by asking “where did this summer go?”
I was honored to photograph Carissa & Chad on their fun and beautiful wedding day, and really am so blessed to have such wonderful couples to work with! They were married at the awesome Heritage House in Aurora, OR. Though we saw possible rain the forecast, it decided to hide for the day which was so nice!
Carissa & Chad are such caring and loving people and their family is fantastic! there seriously was a whole lot of love during the day and it was so refreshing to watch. Their was alot of special guests at their wedding including one special girl named Riley who is Carissa’s Cancer buddy from the Children’s Cancer Association. Carissa has volunteered for several years and helped Riley through this very tough time in her life. She is such a special little girl and I was honored to meet her! Carissa also had a beautiful framed charm on her bouquet of a picture of her cousin Molly whom she was very close with; Molly died from liver cancer when she was 4. As you can say Carissa & Chad have a special bond with people and everyone around them adores them because they are truly fabulous people!
Their wedding was very hard to blog because I wanted to share so many awesome moments from their day but had to ofcourse keep it down for the blog or else it would be a novel! In a nut shell they had a super rad Photo Booth from Portland Photo Booth company and a super cool cake designed solely by her hubby Chad in which we think he did a fabulous job! Their was awesome color, alot of laughing and the coolest bride & Groom entrance ever!
Heres to Carissa & Chad and their truly beautiful marraige!
I always love watching the bridesmaids help the bride get her dress on, its halarious!
Breath Carissa, Breath…
A little champagne and some grub is always nice before the ceremony begins
I loved Carissa’s shoes, so simple and dainty
Work it girl!
They had these awesome Parasols waiting for their guests as they arrive for the ceremony incase it did rain
HEy there you hansdome devil
I love it when the bride & Groom want to see eachother before the festivities begin, it truly makes for a more smooth day
Carissa you my friend are stunning!
ok so I know this isnt funny but ok it is halarious!! This little guy had to be bribed to come down the aisle with a bag of candy, note the candy mom was holding! He ran all the way down crying and made it in record time might I say
And yep there is a story to this one as well, the beautiful mothers of the bride & Groom were trying to get that darn lighter lit to light the unity candles and could just not get it to light. They looked at me of all people and was like “help!” I love it! I ran over and got that lighter to go and they laughed and laughed. I didnt even remember until Carissa had told me they said I was the hero during the ceremony. LOL!
She is so happy to see him, her smile is so sweet!
I love this shot of Chad and his mother, it was sweet
Awesome Bride & Groom entrance, I think Carissa was getting slapped in the buns as she ran through!
We didnt have a lot of time to alot of the group formals but had to steal this fun one of them in the reception
She is so sweet!
Carissa & Chad came over to chat with Riley and her mom and Grandma and I could not take my camera off of Riley as she looked up at Carissa and Chad, it was so beautiful and I cannot tell you how special this little girl is!
They had fun games for the kidos on the lawn and I could not pass up posting this tug of war between boy and girl! Look at her face, I would not mess with her, go get him girl!LOL
